Germany is a top choice for both tourism and study, and its Dhaka process is well established through VFS Global.
Visa Type: Schengen (Type C) short-stay visa, applied for using Germany’s online VIDEX form.
Fee: Approximately €90 for adults, paid in BDT at the current exchange rate, plus the VFS Global service charge.
Embassy/VFS Details: Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, 11 Madani Avenue, Baridhara Diplomatic Enclave, Dhaka-1212. Visa Application Centre (VFS Global), Delta Life Tower, 4th Floor, Plot #37, Road #90, Gulshan North, Dhaka-1212. (Student visa applications go directly to the Embassy, not VFS.)
How to Submit: Fill out the VIDEX form online, print and sign it, then book an appointment at VFS Global. Submit your documents and biometrics in person on your appointment date.

Proof of ties to Bangladesh
Valid passport (3+ months beyond stay, 2 blank pages)
Printed VIDEX application form, signed
Two recent biometric passport photos
Cover/motivation letter with detailed itinerary
Flight and hotel reservations
Travel medical insurance (minimum €30,000)
Six months’ bank statement plus income/tax documents
Employer NOC/leave letter or company trade licence
