The Netherlands opened a brand-new dedicated Visa Application Centre in Dhaka in November 2025, making short-stay applications more convenient.
Visa Type: Schengen (Type C) short-stay visa for tourism, family, or business.
Fee: €90 for adults, €45 for children 6–12, free under 6, plus a VFS service charge of around BDT 2,446 (inclusive of VAT).
Embassy/VFS Details: Netherlands Visa Application Centre, Borak Mehnur, 51/B, Level 7, Kemal Ataturk Avenue, Banani, Dhaka-1213. Long-stay (MVV/D-type) visas are still handled directly by the Netherlands Embassy in Dhaka.
How to Submit: Complete your application on the official Dutch consular portal (consular.mfaservices.nl), then book an appointment at the VFS centre in Banani. You must attend in person, even for minors, and bring the full checklist.
Documents Checklist:
Proof of ties to Bangladesh
Valid passport (3+ months beyond intended stay, 2 blank pages)
Printed and signed application form
Two recent passport-size photos
Cover letter with travel purpose, dates, and cost-bearer details
Flight and accommodation bookings for the whole trip
Schengen travel insurance (minimum €30,000)
Six months’ bank statement, sealed by the bank
Employer NOC/leave letter or company documents (for business owners)
