🛂 Visitor Visa (TRV)

For tourism, business trips, or visiting family. Apply online through the IRCC portal, then complete biometrics in person at CVAC Dhaka.
Requirements: valid passport, bank statements/salary slips, employment or business letter, travel itinerary, proof of ties to Bangladesh.
Fee: CAD 115 (application) + CAD 85 (biometrics).
Processing time: ~8–12 weeks after biometrics.

Documents Checklist

Identity & Forms
☐ Valid passport (must cover your full intended stay, clear colour scan)
☐ Completed application form — IMM 5257 (individual) or IMM 5645 (Family Information, if applying with family)
☐ Recent passport-size photos (IRCC photo specifications)
☐ Copies of any previous/expired passports (especially with visas to US, UK, Schengen, or Australia — strengthens your case)

Financial Proof
☐ Bank statements — last 6 months, showing a consistent balance (avoid large last-minute deposits)
☐ Salary certificate or income tax documents, if employed
☐ Sponsor’s bank statements & employment letter, if someone in Canada is covering your costs☐ Employment letter — must state position, salary, approved leave dates, and confirmation your job continues after return
☐ Business registration & trade license (if self-employed)
☐ Property documents, family details, or other proof of strong ties showing you’ll return home

Travel Purpose
☐ Detailed travel itinerary (flight and hotel reservations — refundable, don’t book non-refundable before approval)
☐ Invitation letter from host in Canada (if visiting family/friends), with their status proof (citizenship/PR card or valid status)
☐ Event registration or business invitation letter (for business travel)

☐ Marriage/birth certificates (for family-based ties or joint applications)
☐ Medical exam or police clearance certificate (only if requested by IRCC)
☐ Parental consent letter (for minors travelling without both parents)
