How to Apply

  • Step 1: Check Eligibility
    Ensure your occupation is on Australia’s Skilled Occupation List and that you score the required points.
  • Step 2: Skills Assessment
    Have your qualifications and experience assessed by the relevant skills assessing authority for your specific occupation.
  • Step 3: Expression of Interest (EOI)
    Submit an EOI through SkillSelect, detailing your skills, qualifications, and experience.
  • Step 4: Wait for Invitation to Apply
    If you meet the points requirement and your occupation is in demand, you’ll receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for the visa.
  • Step 5: Submit Your Application
    Once you get EOI invitation, submit your full application, including all required documentation within 60 days.
  • Step 6: Health and Police Checks
    Complete health checks and provide police clearance certificates as required.
  • Step 7: Visa Approval
    Once your application is processed and granted, you’ll receive Australian immigrant letter and can begin your journey to Australia! You can check your Australian visa status on VEVO.

Key Factors

  • Occupation in Demand List: Each year Australian government determines ANZSCO suitable for migration in Australia. If you are from Bangladesh, do not apply if your occupation in not in the skilled occupation list.
  • IELTS: The minimum IELTS score in 6 in each band, and 50 in each PTE. But you should aim for 7 in each band and equivalent score in PTE. This si give you extra points and take your profile to rank above many other candidates competing globally.
  • Age: You should apply for skilled visa in Australia when your age is between 25 and 39. This will ensure you get full points in Age.
  • Spouse Points: If you are married, ask her to sit for English test too. If your spouse is doing a job, he/she can do skills assessment as well. By this, you can add maximum 10 points

The Subclass 491 visa permits you to live in regional areas of Australia, and you will receive extra points for this in your Expression of Interest (EOI)
